Madrasah Educational Services at Al Falaah Islamic Centre

Al Falaah Islamic Centre is dedicated to providing a structured Islamic education for our children through our Madrasah classes. These classes are tailored to boys and girls, guiding them in both academic and spiritual growth in a nurturing environment.
Curriculum and MethodologyOur curriculum, based on the South African Tas-HeeluI syllabus, covers a comprehensive range of topics, including Fiqh, Aqaaid, Akhlaaq, Hadeeth, Islamic History, and Duaas. Starting from Grade 1, the curriculum is designed to cater to the age and learning level of each child, ensuring an appropriate and effective education.
Madrassah Schedule and Registration
- Terms: The Madrassah follows the standard school terms, with each term lasting approximately 10 weeks.
- Breaks: Classes during the school breaks are held during one week of the two-week break, with exact schedules communicated separately.
- Ramadhan: The Madrassah is closed during Ramadhan, with exact dates confirmed closer to the time.

Attendance and Progress
- A minimum of four days of attendance per week is required.
- A "zero-tolerance" policy towards absenteeism is enforced, with an 80% attendance rate necessary to maintain the student's position in the Madrassah.
Donations
- A nominal donation of $2.00 per day per child is requested to support the running of the Madrassah, payable weekly or monthly. Options for automatic payments (AP) or lump-sum payments are available, with details provided below:
- Weekly: $8.00
- Monthly: $32.00
- Term: $88.00 (inclusive of classes during the term break)
- Annual: $336.00 (inclusive of classes during the term breaks, excluding the Ramadhan break)

Rules & Conditions
- Health & Safety: Timely drop-off and pick-up at designated areas are crucial. Parents are advised not to enter the classrooms and must adhere to parking regulations.
- Behavioral Obligations: Students are expected to follow the instructions of their Ustaad/Ustadah, maintain cleanliness, dress appropriately, and exhibit respectful behavior at all times. Strict rules apply to the use of electronic devices, food, and overall conduct within the Madrasah.
Educational Materials
- Students are required to purchase a set of books annually, which will be used throughout the year. Prices vary by grade, starting at $50 per set.
